Bust out the sunnies: This week’s list of things to do in Philadelphia takes us through Memorial Day weekend — aka the unofficial start to summer.

Philadelphia honors the fallen and welcomes the long weekend with Memorial Day ceremonies and celebrations at sites all around Greater Philadelphia, including the National Constitution Center and the Museum of the American Revolution (through May 27, 2024).

Spruce Street Harbor Park — aka Philly’s oasis on the water — reopens at Penn’s Landing this week, revamped and reimagined with brand-new features and amenities (opens Friday).

For more fun on the waterfront, the Philadelphia Cup Regatta sets sail on the Delaware River with a series of races featuring all sorts of aquatic vehicles (Saturday).

It’s another week of appetizing food and drink fests, including the Northern Liberties Night Market (Wednesday) and Buck County’s Haze Fest 2024 (Saturday).

Hear ye! Hear ye! The Philadelphia Renaissance Faire returns to Fort Mifflin with three days of ye olde revelry (May 25-27, 2024).

And the Philadelphia Latino Arts & Film Festival opens with a full lineup of cinematic works by new and established Latino filmmakers (begins Sunday).
