Dwayne McDonald is a native of Philadelphia, PA. He was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System and later received his Bachelor’s Degree from Morgan State University. At an early age, Dwayne accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Throughout his education he faithfully went to church and continued to be involved with Gospel Music and Broadcasting Ministries. God’s anointing paved the way for Brother McDonald to excel quickly in the Ministry of Radio.
Upon graduating from college, Dwayne began his formal training at WMMR channel 2 and internship at WEAA 88.9FM both in Baltimore, MD. He continued his internships in his hometown, Philadelphia, PA at WCAU-Channel 10 as a News Assistant. He also worked at WJJZ as a Production Assistant for the popular talk show “People Are Talking.”
Over the years, God has used Dwayne as a radio personality. Presently he can be heard at WNAP-1110AM better known as Gospel Highway Eleven on Sundays. At the station, he serves as the Director of Public & Community Affairs and producer of radio magazine, “Gospel Buzz.”
Dwayne is committed to excellence in gospel music, the good news of Jesus Christ. He is known throughout the Delaware Valley as the “Bishop of the Highway.”
For he is socially and recognizable as a servant of the Lord who loves helping others and very knowledgeable of the gospel communities which attributes to his character in radio.
